Dama Gallery Mexico City | Open Call for Exhibition

Dama Gallery is accepting submissions for exhibition consideration at their Mexico City location, just outside of CDMX in Cuernavaca. The gallery is a contemporary art space dedicated to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression through innovative exhibitions across various media and genres. As one of the few established galleries offering exhibition consideration to non-represented artists, Dama Gallery aims to discover and feature new visionaries and contemporary art movements.

Exhibition lengths vary from 1 to 3 months, with the number of pieces depending on the artist's medium and work dimensions. Selected artists are invited to attend receptions and may be invited for recorded artist interviews or panel discussions. Artists selected for exhibition will be considered for representation by Dama Gallery, which includes priority consideration for future exhibitions, professional consultation, portfolio assistance, marketing support, and online presence through their partnership with Artsy. Entries are reviewed weekly with selections made throughout the month by location and curator.

Submissions must include 3-20 images of original, unsold artwork. Accepted media includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional work, digital art, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 total). All artwork must be original with sole copyright owned by the artist. 2D artwork must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Dama Gallery retains a 50% commission on sales, with artworks listed on Artsy. Sales remittance occurs 5-7 business days post-exhibition or upon buyer payment finalization.
