Dairy Center for the Arts 2014 Call for Entries

The Dairy Center for the Arts invites artists and arts organizations from the United States and beyond to submit proposals for individual and group shows of any and all visual art mediums for the year 2014. Through The Dairy's Colorado Community Curator (CCC) program, any Colorado resident may submit a proposal for an exhibit of work by artists from any state or country. The person submitting the proposal will be considered the exhibitor and responsible for the exhibit as described in the prospectus.

The Dairy's Visual Arts Committee, an eleven-member committee comprised of artists, curators, university faculty and art collectors, will jury proposals to select approximately 20 artists or groups of artists to exhibit in the galleries in 2014. Founded in 1992, the Dairy Center for the Arts is a non-profit cultural arts organization housed in the historic Watts-Hardy Dairy building. Since 1997, the three galleries have grown in recognition throughout Colorado and the United States. The center is home to 15 premier resident arts organizations.

Entry fee is $40.00. Applicants must submit 10 images. Artists who have had an individual show or exhibited two or more pieces in a group show at The Dairy may not exhibit there for 24 months following that show (this policy does not apply to artists who exhibited in "Bike Art at The Dairy!" or "Land Through the Lens" in 2013). No artist may exhibit work that has been shown in the Boulder area in the 12 months prior to their Dairy exhibition. Work should be no more than three years old at the time of exhibit, though exceptions may be made by the jury. The Dairy Galleries welcome audio and video exhibitions but the Call for Entries is not enabled for these mediums; contact the curator for further information.
