Dairy Arts Center Annual Call for Art 2026

The Dairy Arts Center invites artists working in all visual art mediums to apply for consideration in exhibitions scheduled for 2026. Selected applicants will collaborate with Curator of Visual Arts, Stella Witcher, to develop and participate in exhibitions. The gallery welcomes exhibition proposals and artist submissions that align with its mission to foster thought-provoking, culturally resonant, and community-driven art experiences.

Applicants may apply to participate in one of three programmed themed exhibitions or submit a general exhibition inquiry. Black Futures in Art (February 19 – March 29) celebrates the voices of Black artists from Colorado and across the United States, exploring narratives of Black identity, culture, and experience. Set the Table (May 15 - August 2) explores food as a cultural and artistic practice, examining the shared experience of meals and their rich stories through dinner table installations and associated artworks. Off the Page (August 14 - November 1) explores the intersection of literature and visual art, celebrating how poetry, fiction, and narrative shape artistic expression and the physicality of books, type, and paper as materials in contemporary art. General inquiries are welcome year-round for artists with collections or exhibition ideas that don't fit within the themed exhibitions.

Applications require an artist biography, artist statement describing your concept and relation to the chosen exhibition, and 2-10 work samples in any media (images, video, and audio accepted). Artists must be 18 years or older (younger artists may apply with parental permission), submit original works, and be able to mail or transport artwork from within the United States. The entry fee is $40.00, and the application deadline is April 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury dates are October 16 - November 18, 2024.
