About This Call
The Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, Colorado invites artists and arts organizations from the United States and abroad to submit proposals for individual and artist-curated group exhibitions in all visual art mediums for consideration for exhibition from July 2017 through December 2018. Non-artist Colorado residents may also submit proposals for exhibitions of work by artists from any state or country, with the submitter serving as the exhibitor responsible for the exhibition.
The Dairy's Visual Art Jury, an eleven-member committee comprised of artists, curators, university faculty and art collectors, will review applications to select individual artists and groups for exhibition in the Dairy's four galleries. Founded in 1992, the Dairy Arts Center is a multi-disciplinary, not-for-profit cultural arts organization housed in the historic Watts-Hardy Dairy building. The center hosts over 200,000 arts experiences annually and is home to 15 premier resident arts organizations.
Entry fee is $35.00. Applicants may submit up to 3 applications. Work samples must total exactly 10 items, with a maximum of 10 images, 6 audio files, and 6 video files. Artists may not bring an exhibit that has been shown in the Boulder area within 12 months prior to a Dairy exhibition. Work should be no more than three years old at the time of exhibit, though exceptions may be made by the jury and Curator. The Dairy Galleries are not equipped to exhibit art jewelry; exhibitors must provide their own display cases and materials at their expense. For additional information, contact Rebecca Cuscaden, Curator of Visual Arts, at [email protected] or 303-440-7826 ext 107.
