About This Call
Daily Painters of New Mexico, LLC is hosting an Art Competition and Salon Exhibition from June 12-14, 2009 at SCA Contemporary Art, 524 Haines NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. The opening reception is Friday, June 12, 2009 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm MST. Exhibition hours are Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm.
Eligibility is open to artists living in the United States and Canada who are 18 years of age or older. Artists must submit 3 digital images of small works in any of the following media: acrylic, charcoal, clayprint, colored pencil, collage, conte, egg tempera, encaustic, gouache, graphite, ink, mixed media, monoprint, oil, oil pastel, pastel, photo collage, silverpoint, or watercolor. Accepted sizes range from 4" x 4" to 12" x 12". Entry fee is $25 for 3 digital images. The submission deadline is May 1, 2009 at 12:00 midnight MST. Winners will be notified on May 20, 2009 via email and phone.
Prizes include: First Prize $1500, Second Prize $750, Third Prize $500, and 3 Honorable Mentions at $50 each. All winning work will be included in the Salon Exhibition, featured on Daily Painters America.com, and mentioned in the Daily Painters of New Mexico, LLC newsletter. Projected images of all juried entries will be displayed at the event and featured on the website. All artwork must be for sale with a minimum price of $100. Daily Painters of New Mexico, LLC collects a 20% commission on sales. Work must be hand-delivered by June 11, 2009 between 9:00am and 4:00pm MST and must be received by June 10, 2009. Unsold work must be retrieved by 6:00 pm on June 14, 2009.
