About This Call

Cut and Paste: Contemporary Collage is an international juried art exhibition reflecting ambitious, innovative and contemporary practices in collage today. The exhibition runs February 25th – March 19th, 2017 at Site:Brooklyn, a street level gallery located in the Gowanus arts district in Brooklyn, New York. The opening reception is Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 6-9PM. The juror is Jared Ash, Slavic and Special Collections Librarian at the Thomas J. Watson Library, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

This call is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in two-dimensional mixed media collage incorporating drawing, painting, printmaking, and photography. The entry fee is $35 for up to three images, plus $10 for each additional image (minimum 3, maximum 12 images). Only original works may be submitted. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by January 24, 2017. A return confirmation of participation is required by January 29, 2017 to hold a spot in the exhibition.

Accepted work must be suitably framed to professional standard with maximum size of 48" w x 60" h x 4" d. All artwork must be priced for sale. Site:Brooklyn will retain a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. Shipped artwork must arrive between January 30 and February 20, 2017. Hand delivery is available February 18 & 19 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Hand-delivered works must be removed March 20-21 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The artist assumes all responsibility for insuring artwork against shipping damage or loss. All entry fees are non-refundable.
