Customized - Custom Car Culture Group Art Show

Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo is hosting Customized, a group art show dedicated to custom car culture and all things customizable. The gallery is a lowbrow/outsider contemporary art gallery located in the 40West Arts District in Lakewood, Colorado, part of the art walk circuit.

The show runs from June 7-29, 2024. The First Friday opening reception on June 7 from 5-9pm will include music, refreshments, and a custom car show out front. Artwork drop-off is May 31, 2024, and pick-up is June 2, 2024. Jurying takes place May 22-June 6, 2024.

Artists may submit 2D and 3D custom car culture themed artwork, as well as non-car customized pieces. Artwork must be ready to hang or display physically (digital artwork will not be displayed unless printed and framed/mounted properly). Each piece requires a $20 entry fee, with artists able to submit up to 2 pieces. All artwork must be for sale, with 40% of sales going to the gallery. Ready to hang means hanging hardware is already attached; plain canvas without hanging wire will be rejected at drop-off. Hanging wire is preferred, no adhesive mounts, and pieces must be able to hang from a hook or nail. Photographic work depicting another artist's artwork without express permission will not be accepted. Eligibility is open to all artists in the US.
