Current Works 2019

Current Works 2019 is the 5th Annual juried member photography exhibition presented by the Kansas City Society for Contemporary Photography in partnership with the Kansas City Artists Coalition. The exhibition runs September 13 – October 25, 2019 at 3200 Gillham Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64109.

Open to photographic artists living in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Submissions of up to 5 images cost $45 (KCSCP members receive a 20% discount). All works must have been produced between September 2017 to current. Subject matter is open. All images must be created from original photography and may be in any photographic medium: Digital, Film, Alternative Processes, Black and White or Color. No pornographic or defamatory images. The juror is Patty Carroll, a nationally known photographic artist.

Accepted works must have maximum final outside dimensions of 40" and be ready to hang with hanging hardware. Framed and matted pieces should use white museum mats in black, white or natural wood, and should be wired. Unframed works may be accepted if presented professionally with hanging hardware. All works must be for sale; KCAC retains 30% and KCSCP retains 5% of the sale price. Artists pay shipping to and from the gallery. Accepted works must be delivered September 7. Hand delivery is available 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. that day, with pickup October 26, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Shipped works will be returned between October 30 – November 6. Artists are responsible for providing their own insurance during shipment. The Kansas City Artists Coalition provides insurance for the exhibition.
