Cup Show: The Hudgens 1st National Juried Cup Exhibition

The Hudgens Center for the Arts presents The Cup Show: The Hudgens 1st National Juried Cup Exhibition, a national competitive juried show running July 14 – September 19, 2015. This exhibition is open to all clay artists age 18 and over living in the United States. Work submitted must be original, use clay as the primary material, and have been completed within the past two years. All accepted works must be offered for sale. The entry fee is $20 for up to five entries. Submissions must include 1-5 images of work samples. The deadline for entry is May 30, 2015.

The juror is Carr McCuiston, owner and operator of Signature gallery in Atlanta, GA, and a juror for numerous national craft shows. Artists will be notified of acceptance via email by 5pm on June 5, 2015. Accepted works must be shipped with a postmark date on or before June 29, 2015, or hand-delivered July 7th & 8th between 10am and 5pm. All works must be received by 5pm on July 8, 2015. A reception will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 2–4pm.

Awards include a Best in Show award of $100 and three Honorable Mention awards of $50 each selected by the juror. The Hudgens Center will also select three Purchase Prizes for The Hudgens Permanent Collection. The Hudgens takes a 30% commission on all works sold. The center will insure works while on premises and during return shipping; artists are responsible for insuring works in transit. Return shipping is covered for unsold pieces (excluding hand-delivered works). Each work must have a label with artist name, phone, email, title, and price.
