About This Call
This exhibition features faculty of the 2015 Cullowhee Mountain Arts Summer Session. Each artist's works will be exhibited with the source materials. Finished work must not exceed 32 inches in either direction.
The WCU Fine Art Museum, which opened in 2005, serves as a cultural catalyst to celebrate and preserve the artistic legacy of the Western North Carolina region with a developing focus to collect, interpret and showcase innovation in contemporary art. The exhibition runs from June 15 – July 24, 2015. Artwork must arrive ready to display; if display requires special instructions, please include them with your artwork. Works deemed unacceptable for display may be removed from the exhibition.
Accepted entries must be delivered by June 5, 2015, either hand-delivered or shipped. Shipping stipends of $55 will be provided by Cullowhee Mountain Arts to assist with shipping costs. Accepted entries can be picked up during museum hours and must be picked up before Friday, July 31, 2015. Shipped packages will be mailed one week following the exhibit. Artists may sell artwork from the exhibition; all sales resulting from negotiations initiated during the exhibition are subject to a 20% commission of the selling price. Sales negotiated after the close of the exhibition are not subject to the commission fee. The museum has express permission to use photographic documentation of the exhibition for archival, promotional, documentary, and other general purposes in perpetuity. Work samples may include up to 20 images, 6 audio files, and 6 video files, with a minimum of 1 total sample and maximum of 20 total samples.
