CSArt Colorado: Community Supported Art Colorado 2015

CSArt Colorado seeks 20 emerging and established Colorado-based artists to contribute their time, creativity, commitment, and artistic expertise throughout 2015. Curators will select a diverse group of artists based on artistic excellence and their ability to execute the required number of works. Each artist will receive a $1,000 honorarium to support the production of 60 original works of art—50 works for shareholders and one additional work for each participating artist, including the artist themselves.

All artists maintaining a residence in Colorado are eligible to apply. The program does not allow artists to participate in consecutive years, so 2013 artists will be eligible again in 2015. All artistic media are welcome, though visual presentation will be considered in the selection process. There is currently no plan to exhibit the artwork, but online presence will be possible. Artists must deliver wrapped, protected, and labeled artwork prior to distribution as indicated in their contract. Attendance at distribution events to meet patrons is encouraged.

Application materials required: 3-5 work samples (format varies by discipline), artist statement (1,000 characters max), one-page CV, artist biography (1,000 characters max), and headshot (300 dpi jpeg, 5" on longest side). Selected artists will be notified September 30, 2014. Contracts must be executed in a timely fashion to be announced at the final art distribution on October 16th at Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. Entry fee: $20.
