CSArt Colorado: Community Supported Art Colorado

CSArt Colorado is seeking 18 emerging and established Colorado-based artists who will contribute their time, creativity, commitment, and artistic expertise throughout 2013. Curators will select a diverse, outgoing group of artists based on their artistic excellence and their ability to execute the number of works required. Each artist will receive an honorarium of $1,000 to support the production of 59 original works of art – 50 works for shareholders and an additional work for each participating artist.

All artists maintaining a residence in Colorado are eligible to apply. Artists must deliver artwork to Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art or Denver Botanic Gardens. All artistic media are welcome. Applicants must submit samples of current work (visual artists: 4 images at 72 dpi, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest edge; musicians: 2 audio examples; performing arts/video: 3 video examples; writers: 3 writing samples), a brief artist statement explaining the context and relevance of the work to CSArt Colorado (1,000 characters maximum), and a one-page artist CV. The entry fee is $20.00. Artists will be notified of acceptance by February 15, 2013.
