Crooked Tree Arts Center 35th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition

The Crooked Tree Arts Center invites photographers to submit work for the 35th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition. Open to all Michigan residents and/or members of the Crooked Tree Arts Center 18 years or older. Each photographer may submit up to two entries. Work must be dependent primarily on photographic processes; please include a brief description of medium (silver gelatin, digital, hand tinted, etc.). Works must not be previously exhibited at Crooked Tree Arts Center. Entry fee is $40.00 per photographer ($20.00 for CTAC members with coupon code MEM2015).

Cash awards: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $100. The juror is Professor Darlene Kaczmarczyk, Photography Program Chairperson at Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids. Online entries accepted through November 30, 2015. Notification of acceptance will be sent December 18, 2015. Work must be delivered to Crooked Tree Arts Center January 4-9, 2016 between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The exhibition opens Saturday, January 23, 2016 and runs through April 2, 2016. Artwork pickup is Monday-Friday, April 4-19, 2016 between 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Accepted works must be properly framed, wired and ready for hanging. Work must be hand delivered and picked up by the photographer unless a signed release accompanies the person delivering the work. A work label must be completed and attached to the upper right hand corner of the back of each work. Works will be insured while on the Arts Center premises. Works in transit or left at the Arts Center after April 30, 2016 will not be covered. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping of work. Crooked Tree Arts Center will retain a 40% commission on any work sold from the exhibition. The retail price entered online may not change once it enters the jurying process or during the exhibition run. Payment for sales will be made on the 10th of the month following the exhibition takedown.
