Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition

The Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition, first juried in 1940, marks its 78th show in 2019. The exhibition will feature 60 works of art exhibited at Blue Line Arts in Roseville. Past exhibitors have included Robert Arneson, Elmer Bischoff, Fred Dalkey, David Gilhooly, Ralph Goings, Gregory Kondos, Roland Petersen, Mel Ramos, Ruth Rippon, and Wayne Thiebald. Works will be juried by David Pagel, an art critic for the Los Angeles Times and professor of art theory and history at Claremont Graduate University.

Cash awards include $100, $250, $500, $750, and $1000. Crocker Art Museum staff will select five pieces from the show for display at the museum from March 3 through May 5, 2019. The exhibition runs January 11 through February 23, 2019 at Blue Line Arts, with opening receptions on January 19 and February 16.

Eligibility: Open to California residents, 18 years or older. All work must be original and completed within the last two years, and must not have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts. All 2-D works must be ready to hang, and all artwork must be for sale. Artwork must be able to enter through doors with clearance of 94"h x 91"w. Entry fee is $45 for three images, with $5 per additional image (up to 10 total). Submit 3-10 images in JPG format, 1-3mb in size, minimum 1200px on one side. Shipping deadline is January 5, 2019 at 3pm; hand delivery is January 6-7, 10am-3pm. Blue Line Arts receives 50% commission from sales for non-members and 40% for members.
