About This Call
Oxford University Museum of Natural History is seeking to commission a work of contemporary art to coincide with the next exhibition. The commission budget is up to £7000.
The exhibition explores themes related to raw materials extracted from the earth used in technology, from tea cups to electric cars. Artists are invited to create work exploring themes including: environmental cost of mining, labour and human rights, the green energy transition, geological processes, and human technology use.
Eligibility is international. Accepted categories include: Craft/Traditional Arts, Photography, Drawing, Film/Video/New Media, Mixed-Media/Multi-Discipline, Painting, and Sculpture. Submission deadline: January 12, 2026.
