Creatures Re-Imagined

Impasto Art Gallery is seeking works inspired by creatures of myth, legend, folklore, magic and mystery for a group exhibition. This is an opportunity for artists to exhibit and sell their work in Prospect New Town's Impasto Art Gallery, which is owned and operated by fellow artist Amy Mathews. The gallery will sponsor an opening reception night on Friday, May 5th, 2017 from 6-9pm with wine and appetizers. The exhibition runs from May 5th through June 14th, 2017, and will be showcased online with modern presentation and convenient online shopping. Artist work from the exhibition will be featured and promoted daily through the gallery's social media channels.

Open to all artists. Work must have been created within the past three years and be original in concept and composition, executed solely by the submitting artist. No reproductions accepted. Acceptable mediums include photography, fabric, mixed media, new media, paintings (acrylic, oil, watercolor), drawings, ink, graphite, pastels, colored pencil, encaustic, and fiber arts. Jewelry, video, and sculpture are excluded. Artwork cannot exceed 36 inches in any dimension including the frame and must be wired and ready to hang. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to three works (non-refundable). Artists must submit 1-3 images. Jury results will be sent via email by April 17th, 2017. Art delivery in person is available April 18th-21st (10am-3pm) or April 22nd (10am-1pm), or artwork may be shipped by FedEx or UPS by May 1st, 2017. Impasto Art Gallery takes 30% commission on all pieces sold. At the conclusion of the exhibit, unsold art may be picked up June 17th-18th (11am-5pm) or shipped back to the artist.
