Creatures Big & Small

This is a juried exhibition open to members of the Sonoran Arts League. Artists must be members to submit; non-members can join through the organization's membership page. All submissions are processed online through ShowSubmit.

Submission requirements: Artists may submit up to 3 original works (jewelers may submit up to 10 pieces). All work must be original, owned solely by the artist, and available for sale. No NFS (not for sale) work is accepted. Copy giclee prints are not allowed, though photography and digitally produced prints are acceptable as originals. Submit high-resolution JPEG images (maximum 30 MB file size) with at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge. Images should show only the artwork without frames, matting, or background distractions, and must be correctly oriented. Work must be clearly labeled with the artist's name, title, medium, and price on the back (sticky notes are not acceptable).

Physical specifications: 2D wall-displayed art must be wired (no filament fishing line; mounting must support the artwork's weight). Gallery-ready works should include D-rings or screw eyes with wire; saw-tooth hangers are not accepted. For canvases or panels less than 1½" in depth, work must be gallery wrapped or framed. Maximum weight is 35 pounds; maximum height is 66 inches. For wall-mounted sculpture requiring non-standard hanging systems, the artist must provide and install the system. 3D work should fit on a pedestal approximately 16" square. Jewelers should supply display materials.

Entry fee: $40 for up to 3 submissions (members only). Entry deadline is January 24, 2025. Entries must be submitted and paid by the deadline; incomplete entries will be disqualified. Entry fees are non-refundable. After submission and payment, artists may log in to review, edit, and modify entries until the deadline.
