Creativity Inside the Box: Loveland Public Library Galleria 2015

The Art Selection Committee of the Loveland Public Library seeks to select artists or artist teams from Colorado to schedule upcoming exhibits for the Galleria. The Galleria displays will introduce artists to the community and provide them with valuable exposure and sales opportunities.

The Galleria display area features five display cases within pillars along the expansive gallery space. The pillars are wood with built-in display areas encased on three sides by glass. The inside dimensions of each display case are 69" H x 21" W x 19" D. Artwork must fit within these dimensions. Selected artwork will be on display for three-month periods in 2015: January 1 through March 31, April 1 through June 30, July 1 through September 30, and October 1 through December 31.

Applicants must be independent artists or artist teams residing in Colorado. Applications should include a concept statement, current resume, detailed information on each piece (title, dimensions, medium, date produced, price/value, and sale status), and images of up to six artworks with a maximum of three images per piece. An artist selection panel will review all applications and select artists for temporary exhibit. Selected artists are responsible for transportation of their work to and from the gallery. The Friends of the Loveland Public Library will handle sales and retain a 20% commission, with proceeds paid to the artist within 30 days of sale completion. Artists will not receive compensation for exhibiting other than eventual sales proceeds.
