Crafts Weekend at the Anchorage Museum

Crafts Weekend is a juried event at the Anchorage Museum. Entries are juried based on the submission of quality digital images that best represent the artist's current work. The jury selects participants based on the following criteria: quality of work, artistic integrity, interesting demonstration of craft, marketability and price levels. The highest quality images may be selected for use in promotional materials for these events.

Selected artists are required to be on-site during the entire three-day event to sell their crafts during Thanksgiving Weekend. Event hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Each selected artist should bring a three-part sales receipt book, sales transaction supplies, tabletop covering for a 6-by-2-foot or 8-by-2-foot table, extension cords, display extras and light fixtures as needed. The museum provides up to two tables, two chairs and table skirting.

Submissions must include 4-8 digital images of current work. Eligibility is limited to local artists in Alaska.
