Craft Nouveau

Craft Nouveau is an international fine craft competition featuring handcrafted items including furniture, vases, jewelry boxes, wall hangings, pottery, and sculpture made from glass, clay, wood, metal, fiber, mixed media, collage, and more. This biennial competition showcases innovative ways that artists around the world blend the lines between art and craft in their unique designs.

Eligibility is open to artists everywhere (national and international). Applicants must be 18 years or older. All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years, cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts, and must be for sale. Wall pieces must be ready to hang. Size limitations: art must be able to enter through doors with clearance of 94"h x 91"w, and no work over 60 lbs will be accepted. Accepted artwork that differs significantly from the submitted image will be disqualified.

Entry fee is $35.00 plus a $5.00 media fee. Submit 1-10 images of your work. The juror is Ariel Zaccheo, Curator of the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco. Cash awards: 1st Place $800, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $100. Exhibition dates are April 1 - May 28, 2022. Notification of acceptance is February 18, 2022. Opening Reception is April 16, 2022, 4-8 pm; Closing Reception is May 21, 2022, 4-8 pm. Non-member artists receive 50% commission from gallery sales; members receive 60% commission.
