Craft in Contemporary Art

Craft in Contemporary Art is a juried exhibition exploring the intersection of craft and contemporary art-making. The exhibition runs March 20 – April 18, 2020, at Site:Brooklyn Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working across all mediums.

Submissions must include 3–12 images and up to 3 videos of original work. The entry fee is $37.00 for up to three images, with an additional $10.00 for each additional image. All entries must be received by February 9, 2020 at 11:59 PM MT. Notification of acceptance will be sent February 16, 2020. The exhibition will be juried by Samantha De Tillio, Curator of Collections at the Museum of Arts and Design.

All artwork must be priced for sale and suitably presented to professional standards. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping of their work and must provide installation instructions and display methods (plinth, stand, wall shelf, or bracket with hardware). The gallery ceiling height is 18 feet and some pedestals are available. Site:Brooklyn retains a 50% commission on all sales. Artwork cannot be withdrawn or shipped before the end of the exhibition.
