Craft Hilton Head 2022

Art League of Hilton Head invites entries for Craft Hilton Head 2022. Over $3,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. All selected works will be displayed at Art League Gallery in the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The juror is Joanna Angell, a fourth-generation artist working in ceramics, printmaking, drawing, and painting. She holds a BA in English from Drew University and an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Georgia. Her work is represented in numerous private and corporate collections, and she has received multiple scholarships to the Penland School of Crafts.

This exhibition is open to US Southeast artists (Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Virginia), 18 years or older. Artists may submit up to three pieces of original artwork created within the last three years that have never been accepted into an Art League of Hilton Head juried show before. Only one piece per artist may be accepted. Eligible media include 2D and 3D fine art crafts: sculpture, basketry, glass, fiber sculpture, wall hangings, paper, metal works, clay, handmade artist books, jewelry, weaving, wood, and assemblage. All entries are juried from digital images. Artwork must be original in concept, composition, and execution; giclées are not acceptable. All exhibited work must be for sale, and Art League of Hilton Head will retain a 40% commission on all sales.

For 3D works: sculptures and three-dimensional art must not exceed 60" x 60" x 60" or weigh more than 50 pounds. For 2D works: pieces must be quality framed and protected by Plexiglas where appropriate, may not exceed 60" x 60" including the frame, and must not weigh more than 30 pounds.
