Craft Hilton Head 2016

The Fifth National Juried Hilton Head Fine Art Craft Guild exhibition seeks 2D and 3D fine art craft entries that encompass exemplary creativity, experimentation and imagination. Up to 90 works will be chosen by judge J. Ben Whiteside based upon artistic excellence, innovation and originality. Over $2,500 in cash prizes will be awarded.

Eligibility: Open to all artists over 18 years of age submitting entries of 2D and 3D fine art crafts in sculpture, basketry, glass, fiber sculpture and wall hangings (including paper), metal works, works in clay, handmade artist books, jewelry, weaving, wood and assemblage. Work must have been completed within the last two years. Works should not exceed 7' x 3' x 3' (including pedestal) or weigh more than 50 pounds. Free standing sculptures should need no special mounting. Suspended ceiling work is not accepted. Entry fee is $40, which enables each artist to enter up to 3 applications of 1 work each and submit 1 image per application/work.

The exhibition will be free and open to the public from December 6, 2016 through December 31, 2016 at Art League of Hilton Head's Gallery located inside Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head Island, SC. An opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, December 8th from 5-7pm. Notification date for acceptances is November 15, 2016. All shipped artwork must arrive by Friday, December 2, 2016. All artwork dropped off in person must be on Monday, December 5, 2016 between 10AM and 12PM.
