Cowboy True Art Exhibit & Auction 2018

The Cowboy True Art Exhibit & Auction 2018 is an international exhibition open to artists working in the following categories: Bits, Spurs, Buckles, Jewelry, Saddles, Boots, Trappings/Gear (items a cowboy uses), Photography, Paintings, Drawings, Sculptures, Woodworking (carving/turning), and Cowboy Cartoons. All work must be made by the applicant and must be acceptable and appropriate for the event. Commercially fabricated forms, kits, patterns, manufactured, mass produced or molded items are not accepted.

Entry requires submission of a completed application form and 3-5 photographs of your work for each category entered. The jurying fee is $25.00, with an additional $30.00 fee for each additional piece submitted in a different category. Upon selection, artists will be invoiced $150.00 (due within 30 days), which includes judging of up to 2 categories, eligibility to submit one piece for live auction curation (selected pieces receive 70% of sale if sold above reserve), meals and hospitality (Friday evening Preview Party, daytime lunch and hospitality, Saturday dinner), and staging (lighting, draping, tables, chairs). Two chairs and 8ft tables (without linens) are provided; electricity is available upon request. Each artist is responsible for bringing extension cords and easels. The event takes place April 13-14, 2018, with setup on Friday 9:00am-3:00pm, judging at 4:00pm, Preview Party & Opening 5:30pm-10:30pm, and public exhibit hours Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm followed by Dinner & Live Auction 5:30pm-9:00pm. First place receives a $500 cash prize; ribbon awards are given for 2nd and 3rd place. Cowboy True committee members are not eligible to be judged. No refunds will be given for any reason. Security is provided overnight; however, Cowboy True accepts no responsibility for stolen or damaged property, accidents, or injury.
