Covered & Kept - Online Virtual Reality (VR) Exhibition

Covered & Kept is an online Virtual Reality (VR) exhibition seeking visual artists to explore, interpret, and express how God of the Holy Bible covers, keeps, and protects His people. This immersive exhibition invites artists to translate biblical truth into visual form—revealing divine refuge, protection, preservation, guidance, and covenantal care. Artists may work in painting, illustration, photography, mixed media, sculpture (digitally captured), digital art, and experimental visual forms, reflecting on God as shield, shelter, keeper, and refuge, and considering both personal and communal experiences of being held by Him.

Artists are invited to explore themes such as divine protection and refuge, God's presence as covering and shield, being kept through trials and transitions, covenant, wings, shelter, shadow, armor, and light, spiritual safety and belonging, and seen versus unseen protection. Interpretations may be literal, symbolic, abstract, narrative, or conceptual. Scriptural references are provided as inspiration but artists may reference one or more scriptures directly or respond to the theme broadly. Artwork will be judged for originality, style, technique, artistry, quality, and adherence to the exhibition theme and intent.

Entry deadline is January 24, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Entry fee is $30.00 with an additional $5.00 media fee. Submissions must include 1-5 high-quality JPEG images (1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, maximum 5 MB), scriptural reference(s) for each work, and an artist statement describing the work and how it reflects the exhibition theme. All work must be original and completed within the last five years. Eligible media include painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, and photography. Digitally created art must incorporate artist-created imagery from traditional art forms. Film, video, audio, and AI-generated art are not eligible. Jurying takes place January 26-31, 2026, with winners notified by February 1, 2026. The exhibition runs February 1-28, 2026. All selected artworks will be featured in the BEZA Gallery VR exhibition space. Awards include First Place ($200 with spotlight and Instagram post), Second Place ($100 with Instagram post), and Honorable Mention ($50).
