Core New Art Space: Small Works

Core New Art Space invites artists of every medium to submit artwork 12 x 12 inches or less in any direction, including frame. The Small Works exhibition honors the concept of artwork in any mediums. Entries must be submitted electronically by October 18, 2018, accompanied by a $35.00 fee for up to 3 works. Artists may submit 1-3 images. International artists are eligible.

The show runs November 15–December 2, 2018. Accepted artists will be notified on October 25, 2018. All work must arrive by November 10, 2018 (or by 3pm on November 11, 2018 for local drop-off). An artist reception is scheduled for Friday, November 16, 6-9pm. Work will be juried by Denver artist Victoria Eubanks, who serves on the board of directors at the Arts Student League of Denver and is a faculty member there. Judging will consider overall impact, content, composition, mastery of techniques, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Art must be completely dry. Wall and suspended art must have suitable means for hanging (no sawtooth hangers). Standing art must be stable. Multiple pieces and installation art require a set-up diagram. All art must remain in place for the duration of the show. Core charges a 30% commission plus tax on art sold; payment less commission will be rebated within 45 days of the show's close. Art need not be for sale. Core will take precautions to protect premises and art but is not responsible for loss due to damage, theft, vandalism, or accident. Artists are responsible for their own insurance. Artwork must be picked up by 4pm December 2, 2018; after 30 days, unclaimed art will be considered property of the gallery. Core New Art Space is located at 900 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204.
