Core New Art Space: Small Works

Core New Art Space invites all artists working in any mediums (2D and 3D) to submit work for the Small Works exhibition, which honors artwork 12 inches or less on its longest side, including frame. Entries must be submitted electronically with a $35.00 fee for up to 3 works. Submit 1-3 images of your work.

Show dates are November 13-29, 2020. Accepted artists will be notified on October 19, 2020. Work must arrive at the gallery by November 7, 2020 (or by 4pm on November 8 for local drop-off). An artist reception will be held Friday, November 13 from 6-9pm. Judging will be based on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of techniques, creativity, and craftsmanship. The juror is Valerie Savarie, an artist and owner of Valkarie Gallery in Lakewood.

Art must be completely dry and properly prepared for display. Wall and suspended art must have suitable hanging means (no sawtooth hangers). Standing art must be stable. Core New Art Space charges a 30% commission plus tax on sold work, with payment rebated to the artist within 45 days of the show's close. Art need not be for sale. Core takes precautions to protect premises and art but is not responsible for loss due to damage, theft, vandalism, or accident; artists are responsible for their own insurance. Artwork must be picked up by 4pm on November 29, 2020, or will be considered abandoned property of the gallery.
