Core New Art Space: Mixed Media Exhibition

Core New Art Space invites artists working in mixed media across multiple and interdisciplinary mediums and forms to participate. Both 2D and 3D work is encouraged, including assemblage, mixed media paintings, collage, sculpture, and other creative endeavors.

Entry fee is $35.00. Submit 1-3 images of work samples. Artwork must not exceed 48 inches on its longest side, including frame. All work must be completely dry. Wall and suspended art must have suitable means for hanging (no sawtooth hangers). Standing art must be stable. If submitting multiple pieces or installation art, include a set-up diagram. Please list all media used in the description field for your entries.

Show dates are February 14 – March 1, 2020. Application deadline is January 9, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notification of acceptance will be sent by January 16, 2020. Artwork must arrive by February 8, 2020 (shipped work by February 9, 2020; local drop-off by 5pm February 10, 2020). Artist reception is Friday, February 14, 2020, 6pm-10pm. Juror is Rik Sargent, a professional artist of over 30 years who works in sculpture, painting, bronze casting, and assemblage. Judging will be based on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of techniques, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Core charges a 30% commission plus tax on art sold. Payment less commission will be rebated within 45 days of the show's close. Art need not be for sale. Artists are responsible for their own insurance. Artwork must be picked up by 5pm March 1, 2020; unclaimed work after 30 days will be considered property of the gallery.
