Core New Art Space: Love or Something Like It

Core New Art Space invites artists working in all media (2D and 3D, except video and installations) to submit work for the exhibition "Love or Something Like It." The theme explores love in its broadest range of emotional states, from the sublime to simple pleasure, including romance, puppy love, platonic affection, and darker expressions like obsessive passion, unrequited love, and heartbreak.

Entries must be submitted electronically by January 14th, 2021, with a $35.00 entry fee for up to 3 works. Applicants should submit 1-3 images and list all media used in the description field. Work must be no larger than 48 inches on its longest side, including frame. Judging will be based on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of technique, creativity, and craftsmanship. The juror is Dana Cain, an art collector and event planner.

The exhibition runs February 12-28, 2021, at 6851 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80214. Accepted artists will be notified on January 18th. Work must arrive by February 6th, 2021 (or by 4pm February 7th for local drop-off). An artist reception is scheduled for Friday, February 12th, 6-9pm. Core New Art Space charges a 30% commission plus tax on sold work, with payment rebated within 45 days of the show's close. Artists are responsible for their own insurance and shipping. Work must be completely dry, with suitable hanging means (no sawtooth hangers). Standing art must be stable. All work must remain in place for the duration of the show.
