Core New Art Space: Lost & Found

Core New Art Space invites all artists working in any 2D or 3D mediums (except video/installations) to submit work for the "Lost & Found" exhibition. The theme encourages artists to approach "Lost & Found" literally or figuratively—be profound or light-hearted, sincere or ironic. Examples include exploring loss during the pandemic (loss of mind, security, confidence, connection, home, job, or loved ones) or discoveries (finding your voice, feet, peace, or common ground).

Entries must be submitted electronically by August 12th, 2021, with a $35.00 fee for up to 3 works. Submit 1-3 images of your work. Work must be no larger than 48 inches on its longest side, including frame. Art must be completely dry, with wall and suspended art having suitable hanging means (no sawtooth hangers). Standing art must be stable. All media used must be listed in the image description field. The juror is Deborah Jang, a sculptor and poet with 40 years of experience. Judging will be based on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of techniques, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Accepted work must arrive by September 4th, 2021. The exhibition runs September 10-26, 2021, with an artist reception on Friday, September 10th from 6-10pm. Notification of acceptance will be sent by August 16th, 2021. Core charges a 30% commission plus tax on sold work, with payment rebated within 45 days of the show's close. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance. Artwork must be picked up by 5pm on September 26th, 2021; unclaimed work after 30 days will be considered gallery property.
