CORE New Art Space: Losing Love

CORE New Art Space invites submissions of artwork in all media for an exhibition exploring themes of loss and heartbreak in time for Valentine's Day. The show is curated by Niza Knoll, Director of Niza Knoll Gallery on Santa Fe Drive in Denver. CORE New Art Space is a community gallery run by its 24 members and has been part of Denver's vibrant art scene for over 20 years, serving as an anchor gallery in the Santa Fe Street Arts District.

Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable) for up to three artworks per artist. Artists must submit between 1 and 15 images and may include up to 1 video. All artwork must be able to be shipped or hand-delivered. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. All shipments must include a prepaid return shipping label and be shipped in a container appropriate for re-use; styrofoam peanuts are not permitted. Accepted artwork must be shipped installation-ready: all 2D work must be framed with wire hangers, completely dry, and ready for hanging. No sawtooth hangers are accepted. Orientation or installation instructions and specialized hardware should be included with the work. Artworks must be available for loan during the entire exhibition period.

Entry deadline: Friday, January 9, 2015. Artists will be notified January 12, 2015. Shipped artwork must arrive by February 6, 2015; hand-delivered work deadline is Sunday, February 8, 2015 (CORE hours: Thursday 12-6pm, Friday 12-9pm, Saturday 12-6pm, Sunday 12-4pm). Artist's reception: Friday, February 13, 2015, 6:00-9:00 p.m. Exhibition dates: February 12 - March 1, 2015. Artwork will be shipped from the gallery by Friday, March 6, 2015. International artists are eligible.
