CORE New Art Space: Contemporary Abstraction

CORE New Art Space is seeking abstract artists for an open entry exhibition. All abstract art is welcome. The show focuses on 21st century abstract painters and invites artists to explore their approach to abstraction and what influences their work.

Submit 1-3 images of your work (for 3-D work, up to 2 shots per piece). Entry fee is $35. Work must be completely dry and within 60 inches on its largest side, weighing no more than 80 lbs including shipping crate. Wall and suspended art must have suitable hanging means (no sawtooth hangers). Standing art must be stable. All media in any combination are accepted; please list all media used when entering.

Juror Karen Roehl will judge work based on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of technique, creativity, and craftsmanship. Show dates are July 13-30, 2017. Accepted work must arrive by July 9. Artist reception is July 14. Notification of acceptance will be sent June 26. CORE charges a 30% commission plus tax on sold work, with payment rebated within 45 days of the show's close. Artists are responsible for their own insurance.
