Core New Art Space: Black & White

Core New Art Space invites all artists of any mediums to express their ideas of Black and White. Entries must be submitted electronically by June 11th, 2020 and accompanied by a $35.00 fee for up to 3 works. Submissions should include 1-3 images. Work must be no larger than 48 inches on its longest side, including frame. When entering, please list all media used in the description field for your images.

The exhibition runs July 10th – July 26th, 2020. Accepted artists will be notified on June 16th, 2020. All work must arrive at CORE by July 4th, 2020 (or by 4pm on July 5th for local drop-off). An artist reception will be held Friday, July 10th from 6-9pm. Judging will be based on overall impact, content, composition, mastery of techniques, creativity, and craftsmanship. The juror is Gary Reed, a Denver-based photographer and mixed media artist.

Art must be completely dry. Wall and suspended art must have suitable means for hanging (no sawtooth hangers). Standing art must be stable. CORE charges a 30% commission plus tax on art sold, with payment rebated to the artist within 45 days of the close of the show. Art need not be for sale. CORE will take all due precautions to protect premises and art but is not responsible for loss due to damage, theft, vandalism, or accident. Each artist is responsible for their own insurance. Artists are responsible for safely shipping their art and for picking up work by 4pm on July 26th, 2020. After 30 days, unclaimed art will be considered property of the gallery.
