Convergence: a Contemporary Photography Exhibition

The Indianapolis Art Center announces a Call for Entry to Convergence: A Contemporary Photography Exhibition. This is a juried exhibition featuring photography and contemporary takes on traditional photographic processes. Submissions can range from digital, film, mixed media, and new media approaches that involve photographic processes. Work made with any photography technique or work that utilizes photography as a critical component are eligible.

Eligibility is open to all artists over the age of 18 residing in the United States. Work must be made within the last two years and cannot have been previously shown at the Art Center. All work must be original and made by the artist or artist team; collaborative works are eligible. All photo media are eligible. Installation artists should contact the Art Center before applying to ensure compatibility of space. Artwork must not weigh more than 250 pounds or be larger than 10 feet in any direction.

Entry fee is $35 for submission of two pieces, with $5 for each additional piece submitted up to 5 pieces maximum. Accepted work must remain on display until October 21, 2022. All work must come ready to install/hang. For multi-media and other installations, artists should be available to assist with installation (August 14-19, 2022). All work may be offered for sale; the Art Center retains a 35% commission on sales. Notification of acceptance will be sent by July 29, 2022. Awards include Best in Show ($300) and two Best of Best runners-up awards ($100 each). The exhibition runs August 22 – October 21, 2022, with a reception on September 1, 2022 from 5:00-8:00pm. Work delivery is August 1-12, 2022.
