Eligible artwork includes paintings, drawings, photography, sculptures, and installations. Jewelry is not accepted. Two-dimensional artists may submit a maximum of 3 different images. Three-dimensional artists may submit a maximum of 3 concepts with different angles using additional upload slots. All artwork will be juried anonymously based on artwork only, with jurors reviewing only the artwork and artist statement. Curators/coordinators are Anthony Burks Sr., Craig McInnis, and Trina Slade-Burks. Jurors are Anthony Burks Sr., Jamnea Finlayson, and Tayla Lerman. Prize judges are Paul Fisher, Lisa Caniff, and a third judge to be announced.
Accepted artists must pay an additional $55 exhibition fee. All artwork must be ready to hang or install, framed with appropriate hanging devices, gallery wrapped with treated edges, and labeled on the back with artist name and title. Artwork must be priced between $750 and $5,000 (with exceptions for series and installations sold separately). Artists receive 60% of net proceeds from sales; coordinators receive 40%. Prize awards include Best in Show ($500), First Place ($300), Second Place ($200), Third Place ($100), and People's Choice ($100). Accepted artwork must be delivered in person on a date to be announced and will remain in the gallery until January 30, 2016, with pickup on January 31, 2016.
