Contemporary Works on Paper

The Art Gallery at Western Wyoming Community College invites submissions for Contemporary Works on Paper, an exhibition showcasing works that speak to current issues, explore fresh perspectives within the discipline, or demonstrate the breadth of possibilities available while working with paper as a substrate, either partially or fully.

Artworks must include some element of paper and may be created using traditional dry or wet media, new media, mixed media, collage, printmaking, fiber arts, or other paper-based techniques. Submitted works should clearly demonstrate the artist's use of aestheticism and be displayable in a traditional gallery setting on a wall or pedestal. Artists must be 18 or older to apply. Entry fee is $15 for one image submission, with up to four additional images at $5 each. Submissions should include 1-5 images total.

Accepted artworks must arrive at the gallery by December 6, 2024, and remain on display for the duration of the exhibition (December 13, 2024 - March 7, 2025). Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must include a self-addressed return shipping label. Artwork should be labeled on the back with artist name, title, medium, and price (or insurance value if not for sale). The gallery will insure displayed artwork at 50% of the listed sales price or the stated insurance value. The gallery takes a 50% commission on sales and requires a W-9 form from artists wishing to sell work. Jurying will be completed by November 15, 2024.
