Contemporary Photography 2008-2018

This is an open call to artists for an international juried exhibition at Site:Brooklyn. The exhibition will reflect the ambitious, innovative and contemporary in photography today. The juror is Kristen Gaylord, Beaumont & Nancy Newhall Curatorial Fellow in the Department of Photography at MoMA.

Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in photography. Entry fee is $35 for up to three images, plus $10 for each additional image (minimum 3, maximum 12 images). Only original works may be submitted. All entries must be received by midnight May 28, 2018 MST. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by June 4, 2018, with a required confirmation of participation by June 9, 2018.

Exhibition dates: July 13 – August 11, 2018 at Site:Brooklyn, 165 7th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11215. Opening reception: Friday July 13, 2018 from 6-9PM. Accepted work must be maximum 48" X 60" X 4" D, professionally framed (Plexiglas required except hand-delivered work less than 24" x 30"), wired or cleated for hanging, and priced for sale. All artwork must be gallery ready. Site:Brooklyn retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Shipped artwork must arrive between June 15 – July 9, 2018. Hand-delivered work can be delivered Friday June 29, 12:00-5:00 PM or Monday July 9, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. Hand-delivered artwork must be picked up Sunday August 12 or Monday August 13, 12:00-5:00 PM. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. Entries that differ significantly from their digital images may be rejected.
