Contemporary Northwest Art Awards

The Contemporary Northwest Art Awards (CNAA) 2013 invites artists to submit a total of 20 digital examples of their work, which may include up to three videos, along with a resume and artist's statement. Images should be current, primarily of artwork completed in the last three years, although up to five images providing historical context for studio practice may be included. Artists may also submit up to two examples of exhibit brochures, critical reviews, or other pertinent information.

A Curatorial Advisor, Ms. Apsara DiQuinzio (Assistant Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art), and the museum will review applications to select 20 to 30 finalists, whose names will be published in the CNAA 2013 catalog. Studio visits will follow the finalists announcement, with three to five award winners selected. The finalists list will be publicly announced in June or July 2012, and award recipients will be announced in fall 2012. The exhibition is currently scheduled for September 28, 2013 - January 20, 2014.

Applications must be submitted by midnight Mountain Time on April 25, 2012. This is a final deadline with no exceptions. Artists may apply online between March 19 and April 25, 2012 through the CaFE system administered by the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF).
