Contemporary Colors

Contemporary Colors is an all-media exhibition at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, Illinois, running February 1 - March 14, 2024. This show focuses on color, featuring 2D and 3D artwork in any media that demonstrates masterful use of vibrant colors to create bold and engaging work. The exhibition is open to all artists 18 and over who reside in the United States. Work must be original, completed within the last three years, and not previously shown at Fine Line.

Artists may submit up to 3 pieces (one image per piece). Jury decisions are based on creativity, quality of artistry, and originality. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email on or before January 10, 2024. The gallery will handle installation, opening reception, and sales. All work must be for sale, and Fine Line will charge a 30% sales commission. Artists have the option to also sell work on the Fine Line website during the show at no additional cost to the artist. $800 in prizes will be awarded.

Artists are responsible for shipping artwork to and from Fine Line and must include a return shipping label. Insurance during shipping is the artist's responsibility. Fine Line provides 24/7 security and insurance coverage (valued at 70% of sale price) from receipt of work until the show's end. The Kavanagh Gallery uses the Walker Display system for wall-hung work; hanging pieces should have wire and screw eyes. Artists requiring special display needs must provide those items. An artist statement limited to 1000 characters is required with all applications. Entry fee is $35.
