Contained - Teapots, Functional to Whimsical & Beyond

Call for entries for an exhibition of teapot artwork in three categories: tea•pot (functional pots with handle, spout and lid), mysTEAfy (teapots transformed using alternative materials such as metal, wood, paint, or mosaic in 2D or 3D), and Celestial Seasonings (whimsical 3D pieces inspired by Celestial Seasonings teas). Entry fee is $30 for up to 3 works. Open to all media except video; original art only.

Art will be juried by digital images for exhibition. Award winners will be selected by original art and announced at the Opening Reception. Cash awards will be given for the top 2 categories, and 2 teapots from the Celestial Seasonings category will be purchased for the Celestial Seasonings collection. A 40% commission applies to sales. Submitted images must be cropped, excluding framing and background, and must represent the work exactly. An image list is required including title, materials, dimensions, price, and category. Minimum 1 image, maximum 3 images per submission.

Art is due at the Muse Gallery in Longmont, CO on October 31st or November 1st. The Opening Reception and Awards will be held November 8th from 6-9pm. The exhibition runs through December 21st, with a 2nd Friday Event on December 13th from 6-9pm. Artists may pick up their work December 29th-31st. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup; shipping to the gallery is permitted with paid return shipping arranged by the artist.
