Conroe Art League 2016 Invitational Show

You are invited to enter the Conroe Art League Invitational 2016, a national juried competition for original 2D and 3D artworks. The exhibition will be held at the Conroe Art League Gallery, located in the historic Madeley Building in Downtown Conroe, Texas, throughout February 2016. The competition is juried by acclaimed artist Francesca Fuchs.

Entry fee is $20.00, with an additional $20.00 media fee. Artists may submit 1-5 images of their work. Artwork must have been created within the last five years and may not exceed 50 lbs. Maximum dimensions for 2D artwork are 48"W x 60"H; 3D artwork must not exceed 24"W x 24"H x 24"D. All artwork must be ready to hang with gallery wire only. Cash prizes will be awarded to four juried pieces: First Place $800, Second Place $400, Third Place $200, Fourth Place $100. Three additional honorable recognition ribbons will be awarded.

Artists are responsible for shipping their work in sturdy, reusable boxes with prepaid return shipping enclosed. The gallery will keep digital images of selected artworks and reserves the right to reproduce them for publicity purposes. A 20% commission will be taken on all works sold, with payment mailed to the artist within 30 days of the exhibit closing. Works are insured while in the gallery, and a terms agreement must be signed by selected artists. Artwork not picked up at exhibit closing will incur a storage fee. Important dates: Application deadline is Friday, December 25, 2015 by midnight. Artists will be notified by Friday, January 6, 2016. Artwork delivery is Monday, February 1, 2016 by noon. Exhibition runs Tuesday, February 2 through Thursday, February 25, 2016. Artist reception and awards are Saturday, February 6, 2016, 6pm-8pm. Artwork pickup and return shipping are Friday and Saturday, February 26-27, 2016.
