Connectivity

A national juried exhibition at the Attleboro Arts Museum inviting all U.S. artists to respond to the theme of "Connectivity." Artists are encouraged to explore concepts such as community, technology systems, the grid, emotional bonds, bridges, electrical currents, velcro, dating apps, block parties, chain links, team building exercises, detours, 23andMe, or other interpretations. The exhibition is open to all mediums, sizes, and interpretations. Collaborations, diptychs, and triptychs are eligible. Six prizes of $100 each will be awarded.

Each artist may submit up to two different entries. Work must not have been previously exhibited at the AAM. All submissions cannot weigh over 100 lbs each. Artists can submit 2D, 3D, installation, audio/video work. If selected, all tech, accessories, and specialized hardware must be supplied by the artist. Entry fees are $18 for Museum members or $25 for non-members, covering up to two pieces. An optional Artist Membership fee of $35 is available. Work samples should include 1-2 images, with optional audio or video (maximum 2 each).

The in-gallery exhibition runs June 15–July 13, 2022, with an in-person opening awards reception on Saturday, June 18th, 2pm–4pm. Exhibition and reception formats are subject to change due to health and safety mandates; virtual formats will be implemented if necessary. Notification of the juror's decision will be sent by Thursday, May 19th at 7 PM, MT. Accepted work must be delivered between May 20th and June 4th, 10 AM–3 PM, EST. All accepted work must be framed, gallery-wrapped, or finished on the edges and ready to hang with a sturdy wire hanging system. In-person pick-up of exhibited work takes place July 14th, 15th, and 16th, 10 AM–3 PM, EST. The AAM will insure all work from arrival through stated pick-up dates, with a maximum coverage of $2000 per piece and a $500 deductible. All art sales are subject to the Museum's commission of 30% for members and 40% for non-members.
