CONNECTIONS Juried Exhibition

CONNECTIONS is a juried exhibition exploring the theme of connections—whether tangible or intangible, strong as steel or as ethereal as the finest silk thread. Artists are invited to submit original 2D and 3D artworks that explore this theme. All media are accepted except video.

Work specifications: 2D art must be wired and ready to hang (no sawtooth hangers). Small pedestals will be provided for 3D pieces; artists must provide any other special equipment needed. Maximum size is 40" in any direction. Work must be recent (within 5 years). All work must be for sale; the gallery retains 40% commission on sold work. Entry fees are $15 for one image, $25 for two images, and $35 for three images. Entries will be juried by a 6 Bridges Gallery committee of artists in various media.

Awards include the 6 Bridges Gallery Award, which includes an opportunity for a solo show in January 2018 (requiring a cohesive body of about 20 works, to be curated with gallery staff), and a People's Choice Award. Notification of acceptance is June 1. Delivery of work is July 8, 10 am–6 pm or July 9, Noon–4 pm. The exhibition runs July 11–August 12, with a reception on July 15, 7–9 pm. Work pickup is August 13, 10 am–4 pm. The gallery cannot accept shipped work or store or ship artwork. Questions may be directed to [email protected].
