About This Call
Confluence: SNAG Annual Juried Student Exhibition brings together student work from a broad range of metal and jewelry work, including traditional and non-traditional approaches, to showcase exceptional work from the next generation of metals and jewelry artists. The student exhibition will be held onsite in conjunction with the 2013 Society of North American Goldsmiths Conference in Toronto, Canada, May 15-18, 2013.
Due to the exhibition's location in Canada, the 2013 format will feature images only. Work chosen for the exhibition will be printed by SNAG at high quality and displayed as photographs. Applicants may submit images of up to three pieces of original artwork created between January 2012 and February 2013. Entry fee is $35.00. Deadline: all entries must be received by Midnight, Mountain Time, March 1, 2013.
Eligibility: All students, whether part time or full time, under the direction of faculty in any North American degree/diploma/certificate-granting institution are welcome to apply. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Artworks included in previous SNAG student exhibitions are not eligible. Students must provide the name(s) of metal faculty teaching at their institution. SNAG membership is not required. Jurors: Cheryl Fraser of Toronto, Canada and Robert Longyear of St. Louis, Missouri.
