Confluence

Confluence is a juried visual art exhibition presented by Art Saint Louis, open to artists 18 years and older living within 200 miles of Art Saint Louis (2801 Locust Street, St. Louis, MO 63103). Artists are invited to submit visual artworks exploring the meeting of the rivers, including landscapes, nature, river life, wildlife, aquatic ecosystems, sustainability, pollution, flooding, and stewardship of waterways. Other interpretations of the theme may address collaboration, joining together, or merging ideas, cultures, and communities. All media, styles, and techniques are encouraged, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, printmaking, digital art, and more. AI-generated work is not accepted. All 3-D work must be displayed on platforms, pedestals, or otherwise off the ground; ceiling-installed and floor-installed artworks are not eligible.

Artworks must be created between 2021-2025, previously unexhibited at Art Saint Louis, and available for exhibition July 11-August 30, 2025. Submit 1-5 images and/or 0-5 videos (maximum 10 total samples). Entry deadline: March 31, 2025, 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fees: $10 for Art Saint Louis members, $25 for non-members. The exhibition will be presented at Art Saint Louis July 26-August 28, 2025, with a free reception and awards ceremony on Saturday, July 26, 5-7 p.m.

Jurors will select artworks through a blind/anonymous process based on artwork title, year, media, dimensions, display method, and optional artist statement. Awards include one $250 Best of Show Award of Excellence, four non-cash Awards of Excellence, and four Honorable Mentions.
