About This Call
Harmony is often hard to achieve. But let's be honest: Do we always want harmony? How tensions are resolved, make peace with, or completely defy opposition can be more enlightening. We want the clash. We want the contradiction. Let's see the fight! CONFLICT OF INTERESTS is about friction. It is about using the “wrong” material on purpose. It is about the disconnect between what something looks like and what it says. What happens when something soft delivers a punch? When something elegant gets loud? When beauty carries a threat? When motivations conflict with intention? We want the moment when the viewer feels the tension before they can explain it.
