Conceptual Photography Exhibition

D'Art Gallery is calling for fine art photographers pursuing higher ideals in photography with unique experimentations, bold expressions, and eye-catching installations. The gallery seeks work that takes fine art photography to new places—defy the laws of nature, catch the uncatchable, and make it fantastical. Work may be realistic or surreal, imaginative or quiet, creepy or comforting. The gallery particularly loves portraits of emotions and the merging of nature and human elements.

Juror Mark Sink is a private art consultant who represents and curates local and international cutting-edge fine art photography. He is a co-founder of The Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, founder of the Month of Photography Denver and The Big Picture street art projects, and the Denver Collage Club. Four prizes will be presented: Best of Show ($300) and three Honorable Mentions ($100 each), announced at the Opening Reception.

The exhibition will be held at D'Art Gallery, 900 Santa Fe Drive in Denver, from March 16 - April 9, 2023. Entry fee is $40 for up to three art pieces/images. Submissions must be 1-3 JPEG images, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, maximum 5 MB file size. Artwork must be original, ready to install, and match the juried image. Maximum artwork size is 5' wide by 8' tall including frame, with maximum weight of 50 pounds. All exhibited work must be for sale; sold work incurs a 30% commission. Accepted artists will receive shipping instructions. Shipped work must arrive by March 11, 2023; hand delivery is available March 11-12, 2023. All work must be picked up by April 9, 2023, at 4:00-6:00 PM, or will be considered abandoned after 30 days. Notification of acceptance will be emailed the week of January 30, 2023. This national show is open to all artists who reside in the USA.
