About This Call

COMPLETELY COLOR invites creative expressions on color with respect to emotions, observations, theories, research, memories, and culture. Open to all creatives—artists, scientists, designers, and anyone passionate about expressing themselves through color. The exhibition is part of Color Impact 2023: Color and Human Experience, presented by the Inter-Society Color Council at Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York. This is a virtual exhibition with all works displayed on the Color Impact 2023 Color and Human Experience Art Exhibition Website.

Creative submissions are welcome across all media including digital media, visual arts, crafts, dance, performance, poetry, music, light installations, graphic or industrial design, environmental design, architecture, interior design, textile design, visual marketing, product design, and visual representations of research data. There are no size limitations. For 3D work, video documentation is encouraged. Audio and visual files have a three-minute time limit. Entry fee is $30.00. Submissions must include 1-3 total samples: up to 3 images, up to 2 audio files, and/or up to 2 video files.

Eligibility is open to international applicants, 18 years of age or older. Entrants choose their level: Student, Amateur, or Professional. Works are juried against others in the same division. A Best of Show award will be given for each category. Jurors are Dr. Mark Fairchild from the color science community and Danielle Siembieda-Gribben from the arts community, who will consider design skills, technical elements, presentation, and the expressive, imaginative, conceptual, or innovative content of the work.
