Community Matters

In partnership with Art League RI, AAA Northeast is seeking artwork for its newly renovated headquarters building located in Providence, RI. The redesigned facility has created welcoming spaces where people can work together, share ideas, and build community. As part of the organization's diversity, equity and inclusion initiative, this exhibition focuses on "Community Matters" and seeks artwork that celebrates the cultural and ethnic diversity of AAA Northeast's employees and the populations it serves throughout its regional footprint (Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and New Hampshire). Potential themes include gatherings of family and friends, scenes of festivals celebrating traditions, neighborhood scenes and architecture, and crowd photography highlighting community.

All 2D media is eligible, including photography and digital art. New and existing original artwork may be submitted; reprints and work copied from copyrighted material are not permitted. Artwork must be exhibition-ready to install with appropriate hardware (no saw-tooth hangers or clips) and appropriate for viewers of all ages. The minimum size for artwork is 16" x 20" including the frame. Artists may submit multiple pieces (diptych, triptych, etc.) as one work. All accepted work must be framed, sealed, secured, and ready for permanent installation.

Eligibility is open to artists 18 years or older who work and/or reside in AAA Northeast's regional footprint states. The entry fee is $45.00 for 1-3 images. Selected work will be exhibited from December 10, 2022, through January 14, 2023.
