About This Call
Studio ACE Gallery invites artists of all levels and backgrounds to submit work for Common Threads: The Fabric of Our Community, a juried exhibition celebrating textiles and fiber arts. The exhibition seeks works that explore connection—connections between people, cultures, materials, and ideas. Submissions may include fiber art, vessels, wearable art, art quilts, traditional quilts, weaving, felting, knotting, basketry, mixed media (minimum 75% fiber art), textile art, sculptural, and experimental work.
The exhibition will be juried by Michelle Montjoy, a multi-disciplinary artist based in Oceanside, California. Entry fee is $25 for up to three submissions, with additional submissions at $10 per image. Submissions must include 3-20 images. For hung artwork, maximum dimensions are 36" width and 72" height. For pedestal display, maximum dimensions are 24" height, 14" depth, and 14" width. All artwork must weigh no more than 35 pounds including packaging. Artwork must be original, ready to install, and for sale. The artist receives 60% of sales proceeds and ACE Gallery receives 40%. The artwork sale price listed when applying is final and cannot be changed after acceptance.
Submission deadline is January 25, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Accepted artists will be notified on August 22, 2025. Artwork drop-off is February 13-14, 2026 (11:00am–2:00pm) or can be shipped at the artist's expense to ABO/Attn: Bob Boon, 7930 Arjons Dr, STE A, San Diego, CA 92126, arriving by 4:00pm on February 13, 2026. The exhibition runs September 20 – October 24, 2025, with an opening reception on September 27, 2025 (5:00–7:00 pm). Artwork pick-up is March 28, 2026 (11:00am–2:00pm). A late pick-up fee of $10 per day applies for artwork not picked up during the designated time.
